RanchoBot Challenge 2023
Suvidha International Foundation collaborated with the City of Rancho Cordova to host a Free Robotics Training Program and Competition tailored for students in Grades 4th through 8th. Financial support was generously provided by the Rancho Cordova City’s Community Enhancement Fund. Sixteen robotic teams took part in the initiative, benefiting from 20 weeks of training. The competition comprised three challenges: Line Follower, Sumo-Bot Wrestling, and Pick, Pack and Place. Teams were categorized into Level I and Level II, with the former participating in Line Follower and Sumo-Bot Wrestling, and the latter engaging in all three challenges. Mentored by local First Tech Challenge teams, participants utilized Lego kits, and scrimmage events allowed them to fine-tune their robots. The program also featured a Youth Empowerment Program, including a stress-management workshop that benefited 15 participants. Survey results from 10 respondents highlighted a positive impact on participants. The competition, held on May 6th, 2023, involved 14 teams competing in separate categories for Level I and Level II. Winners were determined based on scores, with additional special awards recognizing performances and core values. Ultimately, the program successfully promoted STEM engagement, nurtured creativity, and cultivated engineering and teambuilding skills among students, culminating in the recognition of participating teams with trophies and cash prizes.

Summer Camps
Suvidha International Foundation organized two Summer Camps featuring a wide array of educational programs, including Speech and Debate Programs, a Python Coding class, Introductory Spanish sessions, and an extensive range of Mathematics courses encompassing IM1, IM2, IM3, PreCalculus, and Vedic Mathematics. Camp#1 occurred in June 2023, while Camp#2 was held in July 2023. These Summer Camps, hosted by Suvidha International Foundation, served a dual purpose: not only did they facilitate skill development among students, but they also made significant contributions to fundraising for the organization’s charitable service initiatives. Furthermore, the dedicated young tutors who volunteered their time accrued valuable volunteering hours and stood eligible for recommendations for the Presidential Volunteer Service Awards. With an impressive attendance of nearly one hundred fifty students, these programs provided invaluable skills and knowledge. Twenty-five enthusiastic youth volunteers conducted the classes, ensuring a high-quality learning experience. The proceeds from the camps will play a pivotal role in supporting the education of five girl children in the upcoming 2023-24 academic year, underlining the Foundation’s commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of young learners. Several of the youth volunteers received Presidential Volunteer Service Awards.
